The Faithfulness of God

faithful -to stay; support; to prop up...it is not trusting in ourselves, but the One who is faithful (Proverbs 3:5) Six months...six faith stretching months...that is how long Hubby has had been without a job.  Did you get that " had "?  YEP!  Hubby starts a new/old job tomorrow!!!!  New/old????  That's right!  New, because he has not been employed with this company since June of 2009, old, because it is his old job!!!!  God opened the doors wide and ushered Hubby right in.  Actually, they came to him about the position! God has been so good!  There have been many a days when I just did not see how things were going to work out.  But I guess that if I could see I would not need true faith!  I am so thankful that I serve THE GOD who knows all and is faithful in ALL things. Oh...I'm going to be GRANDMA (aka Mammi) AGAIN!!!!!!  Son #2 and wife are expecting!  They have had the heart break of two lost babies and are so excited to see the babe that is growing throug

Book Review

"Plain Wisdom" is a wonderful book about author Cindy Woodsmall and her friend Miriam Llaud.  In this book you will find they share bonds that are common to both of them and their families.  The only difference is Miriam is an Old Order Amish. Follow them with their joys and sorrows.  You will find that neither woman is really that much different from the other, nor from you or I. I want to thank Waterbrook Multnomah Publishers for the chance to read this book.

Men!...well, Sons!

I mentioned in my last post about Son #3 graduating from respiratory school mid-May.  Wrong!!!  Should have asked his Mrs!!!!  He actually graduates May 7th, same day as Grandson #1 6th birthday!!!  Oh well, the important thing is HE GRADUATES!!!

Look What's New!

Okay... I "tried on" backgrounds today, and went back to the first one I "tried on"!!!  I think I like it!  I added a counter for Daughter #2's graduation,{...I'll probably hear from Son #3 because he graduates from respiratory school two days before.  But he is a married man now, so rules change! :-)  }

Just a Thought

I read something today that sometimes we forget so easily: "We don't trust God because we should , We trust God because He is good ." ~ The Waiting By Suzanne Woods Fisher Just a thought.

Errrrrr!

Okay, I decided to change the background to my blog.  (Love doing that!  It is almost like changing your shoes or clothes several times a day BECAUSE YOU WANT TO AND CAN !!!!)    My computer is running so slow today!  {I think it must be tired because we video stream for school, and it is brain dead!!!}  Anyway, I am not at all impressed with the background, but it will have to do for now.  I am one who has to "try on a blog background" to see if it "fits me".  I love yellow, but this is just not me.  Hmm...just too frustrated to work any more on it,  but felt like I needed to explain , because I am going to change it!!!!! I am "leaving" for Amish country; Lancaster County to be exact, year 1965...my book, The Waiting , is waiting for me! {written by Suzanne Woods Fisher, published by Revell, a division of Baker Publishing Group }  "Jorie" just might need me!  Ahh!  A must read for sure!

I did it again!

Old, forgetful?? Maybe, but I did it again!  Yesterday was daughter # 3, which also happens to be child # 7, BIRTHDAY !  She turned "Sweet Sixteen"!  Wow!  That is so hard to belive.  Daughter #3 also happens to be smack-dab in the middle!  Our youngest is 6, she is 16, and oldest is 26!  HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAUGHTER!!!

Life...

Psalm 145:1-5 1) I will extol thee, my God, O king; and I will bless thy name forever and ever. 2) Every day will I bless thee; and I will praise thy name forever and ever. 3) Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised; and his greatness is unsearchable.  4) One generation shall praise thy works to another, and shall declare thy mighty acts. 5) I will speak of the glorious honor of thy majesty, and of thy wondrous works. Life is...well life.  Some days are wonderful, and some not so wonderful.  Some days, it seems, would be better spent in bed, hiding under the covers.  But it would not change the circumstances.   God has been so good to our family.  We are going on six months with no job or income.     But God has not forgotten us.  He, in His timing {which is always the perfect timing} , gives us what we need.  From time to time Hubby is able to pick up an "odd" job--for exactly what is needed.  Sometimes God  has used someone to bless us financially for exactly what
