Graduation

Is it really that time?  My days since mid-March have been a big blur.  It seems one day becomes another and soon I am unsure of what day it really is. Today though, is a very special day!  Son #5 graduates this evening. It seems so unreal!  There must be some mistake...I am sure yesterday he was in his crib, not preparing his speech for this evening. CONGRATULATIONS SON! WE ARE VERY PROUD OF YOU! MAY THE NEW ROAD YOU WALK FIND YOU WALKING IN THE FOOTPRINTS OF OUR SAVIOR, FOLLOWING HIM IN THE LIFE HE HAS  PLANNED OUT FOR YOU! Love, Daddy and Momma

May Happenings!

It seems since school has been out I am behind on posting.  I have been busy creating transcripts and getting this school year totally closed out.  Our next school year is in place except for the text book order that needs to be placed. So, let me do a few "catch ups"! Grandson A graduated from Kindergarten on Friday, May 23!  We were so proud to watch the program put on by his class and watch him walk down the aisle to receive his diploma!  He is a spitting image of his daddy at that age!  Son #3's family announced they are expecting baby #2 in December!!!!  This is not the "announcing" picture, but the most recent celebrating Grandson K's first birthday!  Love the red hair!  I call him the future "Doctor Who"!       Yesterday, Daughter #1 and Son-in-love celebrated their 5th wedding anniversary!         Life is full.  Everyday is a different day, but I would not ch...

Saturday was graduation for Son #1.  He, along with Daughter-in-love #1, graduated from ITT Technical Institute with an associates degree in Criminal Justice. I do not have pictures yet of the graduation.  But hope to have some to post soon!   Congratulations Son and Daughter-in-love #1! We are so happy for you!

Pictures

I was looking at some pictures the other evening from Daughter #3's graduation in May.  It still is so hard to believe that HALF of our children have graduated! I have a few pictures from that evening I thought I would share! D #3 and Hubby So proud of D #3 Me and D #3   "YES! We did it!" So proud of all my girls! I am one lucky momma!

She Did It and So Did We

Graduation is finished!  Tuesday evening Daughter #3 graduated and did a wonderful job.  I cried!  Our graduates are required to give a speech.  This is very hard on some of them, especially if they are not one who like to get up in public and speak.  And Daughter #3 is one of "them".  But she did great!  I knew she was nervous, but you could not tell by the way she spoke and poised herself!  Today we celebrate again with her open house, then over to Son #2's home for a cookout! Yesterday was our last day of school!  Yes!  All exams are finished and graded!  Everyone was promoted to the next grade!  So next year we will have only 7 scholars in school. Grades 3rd, 6th, 7th, 8th, two in 9th , and 11th!  Half-way!!!!!  Yesterday I put all of the second semester of quiz and test reviews into storage and put in place the first semester of the next school year!  It is a very big job and takes a few hours so it organ...

It's Coming!

Like it or not Daughter #3 is graduating!  Don't get me wrong, I love the fact that she has almost completed her high school studies.  I don't like the fact that she has grown up!  It seems like only yesterday she was coming home from the hospital and a new born baby! Daughter #3's graduation cap, gown, and tassel came by Fed Ex today!  (why are they so fast?  did they HAVE to ship so quickly?  does childhood pass quickly because it is delivered by Fed Ex?  do they not know that this momma wants to hang on to her baby girl just a wee bit longer?) Here are some pictures of the happy occasion!  (she could not quit grinning all afternoon and evening!)   Practicing "being finished"! Graduation is set for the 17th of May!  It will be here in a heart beat!  I am so happy for her! This will be her moment to shine!  "Daughter, Daddy and I love you and are so proud of all that you have accompl...

New News!

After a full day of Daughter #2 Graduation Open House, Daughter #1, stationed at Ft. Bragg, NC, called.  She wanted both her dad and I on the phone at the same time.  Well, you know what that means, BIG NEWS!  Yep!  Daughter #1 is expecting her first bundle of joy in January! Then Son #2's wife called to say she felt her babe move for the first time!  Wow!  Graduation Open House, news of a bundle of joy, and feeling the signs of life stirring within for the first time! {uh,for daugher-n-law, not me}  Yep, it was a blessed day!

Graduation

Well, if you have been following my blog, you will notice the count down timer for graduation is gone!  Last night was the graduation ceremony of Daughter #2.  It was a very sweet and special time. Our pastor spoke about faith...{our school name is Faith Christian Academy}.  His message was from 2 Timothy where Paul is speaking to Timothy about the faith that was "passed" down, or should I say taught to him.  Paul tells of the "unfeigned faith" of Timothy, that first dwelt in his grandmother Lois, who taught it to his mother Eunice, that was taught to Timothy.  It was a very good message. As usual, I do not have pictures!  That is what happens when "one" does not have a camera...or should I say batteries and a camera card!  Mine "disappeared"!  I think one of the scholars used their sister's camera to get some pictures, but I will be lucky to get those on my laptop!

2 Wonderful Things 2 Day!

I need to say Happy Graduation to Son #3 and Happy Birthday to Grandson #1!!! Today, Son #3 graduates from college with his degree in respiratory therapy.  Way to go Son!   I know it has been a challenge for him, since he worked full time while going to school.  He knew nine years ago when we had our first preemie, born at 28 weeks, that this is what he wanted to do!  He also  has a job waiting for him and one of our local hospitals!  To top it off, he and his lovely bride, of almost three years, are buying their first home and will move in about a month!  Guess who gets to host family holiday's this year?!?!? Today also marks birthday number six for Grandson #1!  Yippee Grandson!   To top his year, he graduates from Kindergarten, from the Christian School his dad and some of his aunts and uncles attended, and Paw-Paw was principal at, {before we came back home to school} towards the end of this month! Of course tomorrow is Mother'...
