This month had really thrown me.  I feel like I am so far behind in everything...that includes a birthday post for Grandson K. Grandson K turned 2 on April 21, which would also have been my precious mothers birthday.  We celebrated Grandon K' s big day on Saturday, 25 April. HAPPY (BELATED) BIRTHDAY GRANDSON K! That's right, our little family has grown...again!  Grandbaby #9, Grandson U, arrived today at 11:16 this morning weighing in at 9 pounds 10 ounces and 21 3/4 inches long!  Mighty big man!  He is Son #2 for Son and Daughter-in-love #3, and little brother to Grandson K.  Mama and Babe are doing well despite the hiccups in the road.  "Little" man is in NICU and will be there probably until tomorrow.  He had some breathing and oxygen issues they are trying to straighten out.  As of yesterday, the hospitals in our county are not allowing visitors under the age of 18 in the hospital because of the flu, and the maternity unit is only allowing parents and grandparents.  Needless to say there are some very disappointed aunts and uncles, not to mention our Daughter-in-love who can not see Grandson K until she is released for the hospital on Friday.   I tired posting some pictures we took from Hubby's birthday mid-November....

Today Grandson K turns ONE!  I can not believe how quick he has grown!  The old commercial is so true, "If they could just stay little 'til their Carter's wear out!" Grandson K is our only red headed child.  He is a happy lil' chap and loves to look and observe everything around him. Grandson K , we wish you a very happy day! We love you very much! Happy 1st Birthday! The first part of this week I was able to babysit for Grandson K.  His babysitter was sick, sorry for her, YES! for me!  He is such a cutie and love kissing on his sweet little feet! Not to mention that I loved kissing his red hair!!!!  Oh how I always wanted a red-head!  Here is a picture of Son and Daughter-in-love #3 with Grandson K.  The picture was taken at her sister's wedding a couple of weeks ago.  Grandson's red hair does not show up well in this picture! *so sad*

Saturday at Grandson P's surprise birthday, my father was able to greet his youngest great-grand, Grandson K!  It was so sweet.   He has so many grands and great-grands that he had a hard time remembering who was who!  Yesterday my daddy fell and broke is hip.  He will be 84 in June.  He is having a partial hip replacement today at 4:30 pm.  I am trusting that he will be up and "around" without much difficulty in the near future.  "Odd" thing about his fall...yesterday during my devotions and prayer time I spent a little extra time praying for him.  I felt concerned about him falling and breaking his hip.  "Odd"? Not really.  I am certain that the Holy Spirit prompted me to pray knowing that Daddy would need the extra prayer. What a great God we serve!
