Anniversary #37

Thirty-seven years ago today I said, "I do!", and today I still "I do!"!  The years have been blessed with 14 children, 6 in-loves, and 13 grandchildren.  Not a day has gone by that has been a perfect day.  There is always some hic-cup or bump in the road, but we manage.   Marriage is work.  It is hard work.  But it is worth every bit of it.   This picture was taken at our surprise anniversary party last year.  M y daddy is sitting between Hubby and me.  I cried when I saw him sitting at the table.  He NEVER wanted to go out ANYWHERE!  But he came for ME!!!  One daughter was suppose to be at college in South Carolina...she made a trip home to celebrate us!  (ummm...so I notice that today I have on the same shirt as last year!!!!...if I knew we were going to be celebrated I sure would NOT have worn that!  But I guess that is how it goes with surprises!) Anniversary card I made for Hubby today. HAPPY ANNI...

Grands

Grandchildren are great!  Love them to pieces!  I was going through some photos and could not resist sharing. At a recent family gathering Son #2 wanted to play Monopoly.  He has ALWAYS loved to play Monopoly.  As a child, he ALWAYS won.  He was ALWAYS the banker.  His siblings ALWAYS said he cheated.  I don't know about that....but....these poor lil' souls were just waiting for their turn to play!!!!  They were so patient! This is a picture from Grand-night back in July.  We are getting ready to celebrate Daughter #5 birthday.  As always they were waiting patiently!!! Their patience paid off with cupcakes!!!!!!!!!!! Aunts, uncles, niece and nephews all settle down to watch a wildlife documentary before going to bed. We are planning for another Grand-night-over-night soon.  Of course, each set comes and goes at different times, sometimes spending the night and sometimes just for the eveni...

May News!!!

May brought many changes!  We added a new granddaughter to our arms!  Granddaughter E, or EJ, was welcomed to the world on May 19, 2017 at 6:52 PM, weighing in at 7 pounds and 1 ounce, 19 inches long.  She was about 4 1/2 weeks early, but is doing well.  Even at the larger size she has had a few preemie issues, but we expected that!  My pictures are on my phone and I have no idea of how to get them to my computer!!!  I can be technology challenged at times.  May also brought the graduation of our twins!  Son #6 and Daughter #4 graduated on May 26!  These are their Senior pictures that were taken about 2 weeks prior to graduation.  I am in the process of looking for the pictures I took at graduation and can. not. find. them. ERRRR!!!!! Since my technology skills are being challenged at the moment, I think I will end this post  here and see if I can have dear Hubby locate my pictures for me!  I will be...

Card Creations

...sigh...I have been busy making cards off and on.  I am getting better at taking pictures, just slow at blogging them.  I am suppose to be cleaning house...going to meet our daughter-in-love-to-be's mom this afternoon/evening.  Me...I addressed a few cards to college students...okay...12 of them.  Okay, I was writing a note to them!  Then I decided I wanted to learn how to knit...so I watched a video on YouTube and tried for about 20 minutes...got frustrated and gave up...only for the day! Now, I decided that I may want to take a few minutes and post some cards.  So this will be quick...sort of... I made this for one of our granddaughter's cousin.  I love the chalk board look and shaker cards! This was for my card ministry. A sympathy card Birthday card for Grandson E..he turned 5! More sympathy cards...we have had 5 families in our church lose a love one since January 1. Part of a set for a friend... .....

Hello Again!

Ha!  Just finished a card and had a few moments to share it with you!  I have a friend at church who was having a knee replacement surgery today.  Very sweet lady!  She taught my two oldest boys in the second grade when they were in the Christian school many years ago!  (today they are 30 and 31!)  Anyway, I wanted to get a card off the her. Using Pinterest, I CASE-d this from a card that Lisa Young, Add Ink and Stamp, created using the set from  Sale-A-Bration 2015 called Honeycomb Happiness.  Love the chick!  You can make it almost any baby bird!  I used my Aqua Painter and ink pad to water color the images.  I was out of the water color paper that Stampin' Up! carries so I used what I had on hand.  Not so thrilled with the paper.  I layered it on black and my base is retired cardstock with confetti sprinkles. This is Daughter #7.  She was studying for a history quiz for t...

Hello December!

They say that time flies when your having fun.  While that may be true, I have noticed that time flies even if you are not having fun.  Maybe it is old age....errr....getting older.  In two short months I will be fifty-three!  I do not think that is old, just getting older! This month seems to be moving along a bit too quickly for me.  Maybe it is because of the amount of things I need to accomplish in so little of a time.  For instance, the family has been wanting to put up the Christmas tree since Thanksgiving.  It just got put up on Friday, the ninth.  Not only was it late getting up, but it is not our usual 7 foot tree.  This year we have a 4 foot tree up on a table.  It has been renamed from our Christmas tree to our "Humble Tree".  Humble indeed.  The base is missing.  Son #4 and I had to create a base for it.  It was firm until the ornaments started going on....so if you tilt your head to the left it looks li...
