Birthday #29

Today is our oldest son's twenty-ninth birthday!  Wow!  Twenty-nine!  I can remember when I gave birth to our 9# 3oz baby boy WITHOUT pain meds!  His labor was a total of eight hours from the time my water broke, IN PUBLIC, to his first breath!  (actually I felt a little cheated, all the anticipation of waiting for this little human to come into my life and BAM! over in eight hours!  and he was my longest labor!) Anyway... HAPPY BIRTHDAY SON #1! DADDY AND I ARE SO THANKFUL GOD GAVE US A PRECIOUS SON!   WE ARE SO PROUD OF YOU! We love you so much! xoxo <3 Momma and Daddy

Birthday Card from Hubby

Every morning when I get up at 5 am I look out the window.  I don't know what I am looking for, but I look anyway.  Except for today.  I thought about it, several times, but could not bring myself to peek out the curtain.  The family starts waking about 6:30 and Hubby come out to the dining rooms and asks Son #7 and I if we have seen our birthday card.  Clearly the card for Son #7 is on the dining room table and he can see it, so I inform him of such.  He said, "No, look outside."  So we did and this is what we saw... (Son #7's name is spelled Job, like the OT prophet, I guess not everyone knows that!)     I am glad that there is not a lot of traffic in our neighborhood at 6:30 in the morning.  Because they truly would have thought we were nuts being outside in -4 degree weather in our robes!

Double Birthday

Today is a double birthday in our home.  Our youngest son, Son #7, turns eleven today!  We refer to this as the "railroad track birthday".  The saying comes from our oldest son as he was turning eleven.  He thought the number "11" looked like the rails of the train track! (Oh the sweet memories!) Son #7 has been so excited for his birthday that he went to bed at 8:30 last night so his birthday would come sooner!  When I went in to pray with him he had the biggest smile on his face.  A couple hours later when I went in to pray with Son # 6, the smile was still on his face while sleeping.  So precious! Today also happens to be my birthday!  Son #7 happens to be the best present a momma could ask for on her birthday!  He was born on my 39th birthday, so if my math is correct that would make me fifty!!!  Fifty is only an number, although Daughter #1 reminds me it is half of a century!   HAPPY 11th BIRTHDAY SON! WE LOVE YOU AND PRAY THAT THIS IS A WONDERFUL
