I'm Here...and Our Family Grows by Two Feet

That's right, our little family has grown...again!  Grandbaby #9, Grandson U, arrived today at 11:16 this morning weighing in at 9 pounds 10 ounces and 21 3/4 inches long!  Mighty big man!  He is Son #2 for Son and Daughter-in-love #3, and little brother to Grandson K.  Mama and Babe are doing well despite the hiccups in the road.  "Little" man is in NICU and will be there probably until tomorrow.  He had some breathing and oxygen issues they are trying to straighten out.  As of yesterday, the hospitals in our county are not allowing visitors under the age of 18 in the hospital because of the flu, and the maternity unit is only allowing parents and grandparents.  Needless to say there are some very disappointed aunts and uncles, not to mention our Daughter-in-love who can not see Grandson K until she is released for the hospital on Friday.   I tired posting some pictures we took from Hubby's birthday mid-November....

August Anniversary

This post is several days late.  Son #3 and his beautiful bride celebrated their 5th wedding anniversary on the ninth of this month.  Son #3 and Grandson K spent the day visiting with us.  Daughter-in-love #3 joined us after she got of work and along with Daughter #1 and Grandson E.  It was a fun evening.  We did not plan the evening as a celebration, but it is always a celebration when we are together as a family!! HAPPY ANNIVERSARY! MAY THE NEXT FIVE YEARS BE EVEN MORE SPECIAL THAN THE FIRST FIVE! WE LOVE YOU!!

Another August Birthday

Today Son #3 turns twenty-six!  Wow!  Where does the time go?  He was just my little man and now he is a man with a family of his own!   HAPPY BIRTHDAY SON! WE LOVE YOU AND TRUST THAT YOUR DAY IS PERFECT IN EVERY WAY! XO

Exciting News...

...I can finally tell!!!!  Son and Daughter-in-love #3 are expecting a baby!!!!!!  We have known for WEEKS now, but they wanted to wait until they could see a doctor before we said anything.  Because of past health issues, this babe is an answer to prayer...as all are!  Last week they had their first doctor's appointment and ultrasound...because of a presenting health issue.  But Babe and Mommy look great, just need to follow a little closely for a while! The due date for the new one is April 28, 2013! Also, we have some dear and close friends from McPherson, Kansas visiting us!  They were our youth helpers when Hubby was youth pastor in Kansas.  It is going to be wonderful catching up and just spending time together.  Uh...we can't run water or flush the toilets...we discovered we must have a broken sewer pipe.  Going to be insteresting trying to locate it and visiting! Have a wonderful Lord's day!  ...

Happy {Belated} Anniversary

Yesterday was the fourth anniversary of Son #3 and his bride!  Life was so busy with a two hour ortho appointment for Son # 4--braces off!!!--and babysitting Granddaughter #1, I did not get a chance to post!  { i know, terrible excuses! } But I do want to wish the happy couple a happy anniversary! Happy Anniversary! Daddy and I love you and are very proud of you both!!! XOXO

Yet Another Birthday!

Today Son #3 turns 25!   He was always my helper growing up.  Always wanting to help me make the beds, fold laundry, pick up toys...  He learned to pinch pennies while shopping with me.  He was my late night shopping buddy and always made sure my cart was perfectly straight! Watching his baby sister in the NICU,  he reacted when her monitor went off as she turned blue.  He reached into her bed to adjust her  tiny body to open her airway and stimulate her.  The respiratory therapist told him he had saved his baby sister's life.  That was the start of his dream to be a respiratory therapist! Son, I am proud of you and hope you have a terrific 25th birthday! Happy Birthday, Son! Daddy and I love you!

Thankful Day 14

I am thankful for Daughter #6.  She was a micro preemie, born at 28 weeks, weighing 2 pounds 9 ounces.  She is truly a miracle baby.  We got to watch out of the womb what takes place in the womb.  AMAZING!!!  What an awesome God we serve!  She spent three months in the NICU.  She was on oxygen until she was 18 months, and stayed and on a heart and apnea monitor until she was two.  She was our "blue baby"--named because she was always turning blue.   {Son #3 became a respiratory therapist because he watched his baby sister being rescued so many times.  He even knew what to do when he was in the NICU with me one day when her monitor went off and she was blue.  It just came natural. The RT told him he saved his baby sister and he was a natural.  Of course the RT stepped in and checked her over to make sure she was okay.} Daughter #6 is healthy and a normal ten year old!  I love you Daugh...

Thankful Day 5

I am thankful for Son #3.  He has always been so kind and patient with his siblings.  I remember when he was about nine or ten, Son #5 asked "Guy Guy", {a pet name #5 came up}, if he would sleep in his room with him on the floor.  Son #3 did, and so it was for the next twelve to fifteen months!  We tried to convince #3 that he needed to go to his own room, but he said he did not mind.   I am thankful for you, Son #3.  I love you!!!!

Goodness!

Oh what a migraine will do to you!!!  I woke up with a terrible headache Saturday morning that turned into a nasty migraine!  Guess what I forgot to post? BIRTHDAY GREETINGS!!!! Son #3 turned 24 on Saturday the 6th!  Sorry Son! HAPPY BIRTHDAY SON #3!! {a little belated!} I love you!
