A Mile Marker Birthday

Okay, they have to come...mile markers.  There is no way to get around them on this road of life.  Today just so happens to be a mile marker birthday for our oldest son's, or does it sound nicer to say, "our first born's" thirtieth birthday. WOW, THIRTY!   Thirty years ago today, at 4:36 a.m., Son #1 came into this world weighing 9# 3 oz, and 21 inches long!  (I labored only 8 hours...my longest birth.) HAPPY 30th BIRTHDAY SON! MAY YOUR DAY BE FILLED WITH LOVE AND ALL THINGS WONDERFUL! DADDY AND I ARE SO PROUD OF YOU AND LOVE YOU SO MUCH!  XO (To those of you that may have seen the post where I posted his birthday card a while back...he never did see it on-line)

Cards!!!!

I was able to pass some free time with making a few cards over the last couple of weeks. Hmm, I remember making this, but cannot remember who I made it for!  The stamp images are Stampin' Up! along with most of the paper. A couple of stamping buddies came over a couple of weeks ago.  We used this set from the Sale-a-Bration catalog.  Everything is SU!.  The water coloring on the bird was with the water color crayons SU! use to carry. I made this for my card ministry.  I only needed 58 of these!  It is based off a card I made in card club a couple of years ago. I changed it up a bit so I could use my Post Card stamp and used the colors I had on hand. This card was made for Son #7's 12th birthday. I really debated what to make for him.  No longer a man, not quite a boy...but balloons just plan say "CELEBRATE!"  This card was made with SU! product. The green I believe is a retired color.

A Double Birthday

Son #7 and I share a birthday, 39 years apart!  Today we are celebrating the 12th birthday of Son #7!  My youngest man is growing up way to fast, I know, I always say that!  He is fun, sensitive, a prankster, and thinks outside of the box!  He keeps us on our toes since he is one of three children that think way deep!   HAPPY BIRTHDAY SON! YOU ARE A PRECIOUS SON AND WE ARE SO GLAD GOD GAVE YOU TO US!   LOVE, DADDY AND MOMMA   No cake for this young man!  His new favorite dessert is Arctic Blasters Orange Ice Cream bars.  His new collecting hobby is glass soda bottles.  He asked for IBC Cream Soda for his drink and Extreme Sour Warheads for his candy. His gift was a Nerf Zombie Strike.  Our family loves Nerf gun wars.  (He wanted a BB gun, but living in the city with a busy road behind us it did not seem like a good idea for an adventuresome young man.) (Sorry, no pictures of the birthday Momma.  I guess no one thought to capture me on my 51st birthday.
