I am thankful for Daughter #5, who just happens to be child #11. She is a very happy child and full of life. She is a lover and not afraid to try something new. That has been a plus for her. She was born with a club foot. A lot of babies born with a club foot is due to positioning while in the womb, you know a tight space for growing babe. But her foot was formed that was from the beginning. Being child #11 the doctor said she had more than enough room to move. Her toes were pointed up toward her nose. She was in a cast, changed and foot repositioned weekly, for about 13 weeks, starting at one week old. We used the Ponseti method. During that time she had a heal cord release because her foot was by that time pointed down like a ballerina. She also ended up with a half tendon transfer in her foot to pull her foot around.
