Happy Birthday Hubby

Here it is almost the middle of November and celebrating another birthday!  With a large family we tend to celebrate a lot of birthdays!  Today is my wonderful hubby's birthday!  We are so blessed to have a wonderful provider and encourager!  The past several weeks have been a bit more stressful than usual.  But Hubby has been an encourager for all of us to keep our eyes on the Lord and not on the situation at hand. I am so blessed that God has provided me with a wonderful husband and friend! HAPPY BIRTHDAY SWEETHEART! WE LOVE YOU SO MUCH AND ARE THANKFUL FOR YOUR HARD WORK AND ENCOURAGEMENT! XOX0

Like Father, Like Son

Every once in a while you see something that you just have to capture on camera.  While fixing lunch this afternoon, one of the daughters noticed the Hubby and Son #7 were "dressed" alike--white t-shirt and black dress pants.  Son #7 was beaming after noticing this.  Just had to capture it and share!

Giving Thanks...Day 13 and Birthday!

We are very thankful for the results of Daughter #2's eye test.  Her ultrasound shows she has a fibrous cyst in each eye.  One we knew about; the other we did not.  She will need to keep yearly eye exams so they can keep an eye on it...no pun intended!  Today is Hubby's birthday!  Another year older and another year sweeter!  Happy Birthday Sweetheat! I love you and hope your day was terrific! xoxo

Giving Thanks...Day 7

Today, tonight actually, I am thankful for feeling better!  I was hit with a bug of some sort Monday evening through this evening.  I actually feel human and loving again!  Wonderful Hubby came home early from work yesterday to take care of the family and only went into work this morning for a few things that had to be done.  He became cook, taxi driver and bottle washer for the day!  So I guess I have two things to be thankful for today!

Thankful Day 2

I am thankful my hubby has a job.  One year ago we were without a job or any source of income.  God saw us through those seven months, He provided and used many friends to meet our many needs.  Not only does Hubby have a job, he just recently has gone from being the associate dean to the dean of the new campus of the college he is employed.  God has been so good, because this job came directly from Him.  I am also very thankful that Hubby and I have been married 28 years!  We have fourteen beautiful children, four that have married and have families of their own giving us six, soon-to-be seven grandchildren!  He has been a great source of strength and a wonderful example to our children.

Father/Son Bonding

Since the older nesters were gone to camp last week, Hubby had a chance to teach Son #7 how to mow the lawn.  As you can see, we do not have a very big yard at all.  But that did not matter to Son #7.  He had a morning of bonding with Dad and was pretty pround of himself for being 'one of the big guys'!

My "Little-est" Man

I thought while I am waiting for my Hubby to come home from work I'd post a picture of my "little-est" man.  Daughter #2 had an idea for pictures, and used her "little-est" bruder for a her subject.    I think he was trying to keep serious for the picture.  Isn't he just a handsome "little-est" man in 'his' Stetson!? back row:: Son #6, Son #5 front row:: Son #2, Son #7 on Hubby's lap, Son #4 (fall of '10) Okay, I thought I might as well post a picture of most of the men in my life...uh, that sounds kind of, well...anyway, by the numbering of sons above, you can see that Son #1 and Son #3 are missing.  This is not unusual, it seems we can NEVER get everyone together at one time!
