Chilson Family

Today is Son #1's birthday!  He came into the world 28 years ago today, at 4:36 am, weighing 9 pounds 3 ounces!  He was only 3 days over due and was my longest labor...eight hours! Hubby and I had gone out to eat with his folks.  (Hey Laurie, we were at the Red Coach Inn!)   I was not hungry and was making "railroad" tracks in my mash potatoes.  Not being hungry should have been a clue that something was not right! *smile*  After we were finished with our meal I started to get up and sat down very quickly!  As I stood my water broke!  The restaurant we were eating in was the busiest it had been in a long while!  And of course we were sitting very near the back!  Thank goodness I had my coat with me, but my shoes squeaked as a walked! They were leather and very, very wet! Needless to say my love for the wee one out weighed the humiliation I felt.  But I left a very big mess for the waitress! HAPPY BIRTHDAY SON!...

I found a picture Daughter #2 had taken of Granson E and me a couple of weeks ago.  He is so much fun, as well as all of the grands! I also found this sweet picture of my daddy and our two youngest, Son #7 and Daughter #7.  By the way, my daddy is the #1 Dad! *smile*

Every once in a while you see something that you just have to capture on camera.  While fixing lunch this afternoon, one of the daughters noticed the Hubby and Son #7 were "dressed" alike--white t-shirt and black dress pants.  Son #7 was beaming after noticing this.  Just had to capture it and share!

I can't believe it!  Our youngest son turns ten today!  It is hard to believe that the little bundle, weighing just a bit over 4 pounds, is a lively, very imaginative young man.  He never ceases to amaze me with his questions and hunger for knowledge! Happy Birthday Son #7! We love you and are so very glad God gave you to us!        If Son #7 is turning 10, that must mean I'm turning 49 today!  Must admit, he was the best birthday present ever!  

...and  believe me, sometimes it's no picnic!"  I have a picture to share!!!!!  Grandson's first birthday was 15 January, but we celebrated it 26 January.  Below is a picture of my wonderful family!!!  My father, sister, and brother-in-law are also in the picture.  {i have no idea how to do fun little drawings and arrows on the picture to point them out! so, you will have to "find" them, kind of like "Where's Waldo", but in this case it's "Where's Papa King, Aunt Amy and Uncle Bill".} We had so much fun!  This is the first time we have been to Daughter #1's home since she moved in a month ago.  Love the old homes, but not the "spooky" basement! *smile*  (sorry picture goes into sidebar, but a mega family sometimes requires mega space!) I decided to start "naming" our grands with their inital.  So this was Grandson E's big day to shine!

  I am finally able to post a picture that I tried posting several post ago.  It is from Thanksgiving day.  In this picture, besides hubby and myself, we missing two sons, two daughter-in-loves, and five grandchildren!  My daddy is among all the handsome men in the back row!       January has been a very busy month.  Not only are we back into school full swing and over the flu bug, but our lives have been full of the grands!  There is probably only a couple days a week that we are "grandless".  Tonight, we have our four month old grandson for a bit.  Our two year old grandson ran into the corner of the wall at home and is in the emergency room for stitches.     This picture was taken last week.  I am holding Granddaughter while Daughter #2 is taking the picture with her phone.  (Not sure why the picture is grainy and yellow.)   Trust your January has been full of...

I still find it hard to believe it is a new year.  With a new year it means a new round of birthdays in our family.  Today Daughter  #1 and Son-in-love's little man turns one!  We will actually celebrate his birthday next weekend. :)  It has been so fun to have this cuddley little guy come over and visit!  Happy Birthday Grandson! PawPaw and Mammi love you so much! XOXO
