Happy Birthday!

Today is Son #1's 27th birthday!  Am I that old?  Am I really old enough to have a twenty-seven  year old child?  It sure does not seem like it was that long ago that I brought home a 9 pound 3 ounce baby from the hospital!

Every baby's birth is special, but nothing compares to the first!  Nothing prepares you for the first!  Son #1 was three days past his due date, but my water broke while Hubby and I were out having dinner with his parents!  It was cold, 36 degrees and raining!  (outside, not inside! ;-) )  Not to mention the restaurant was crowded and we were at the back!  I was soaked and my shoes had water in them!  The squeaked  as I walked!  At least I was only in labor for eight hours before I was able to hold my first child!

Life....

Busy.  That seems to describe life in our home.  Just day to day busy.  Nothing really noteworthy.  Life moves on.   Let me think, since I last posted.... well, let me back up to about a month before my last post.  Daughter #6 got married in October of 2022...today Son #7 got married.  So, I have gained another son and another daughter! Our youngest graduated from high school in May and our oldest grandchild graduated the following day!  From our oldest child to our youngest, we have 33 years of education. (I'm tired just thinking about it!!) Still only 13 grandchildren.  Hubby is still in education.  I keep things going on the home front.  I help out the families where and when needed.  I still make cards for the card ministry that I have been doing for 19 years.  I still crochet.   That about sums up life at this point.  Have a wonderful day!

Newest Grandbaby

  The newest member to join the Chilson Family!   Grandson K  April 21, 2013 8 pounds 14 ounces 21 1/4 inches long Proud parents for the very first time are Son #3 and Daughter-in-love #3   EDIT NOTED: This page was edited on 12/31/13 with names and photo removed.  It was brought to my attention by a DIL. Originally I had given names ONLY because full names are used on their Facebook page. Forgive me for being "stupid".   Excited to have a new little one to love on and watch become a personality all his own!
