More Cold and More Flu

It's been cold and we have snow on the way!  The forecast for the central part of Indiana is 6-10 inches of snow starting tomorrow morning.  Ugh!  But I will put up with the cold and snow if it raises the water tables.  I do not look forward to a summer with a drought! Son #5 became ill Monday evening.  He was very tired during school classes on Monday, by the evening he had a fever.  It was apparent Tuesday morning he had been hit by the flu bug.   So over the last several days we now have a total of five, still including Son #5 with the flu!  I pray that it does not hit us all!  I feel like all I have done over the past couple of days is take temps, deliver medication, and send hubby to the store for 7-up and Gaterade! May your spring weekend be wonderful no matter what the weekend holds!

It's Coming!

Like it or not Daughter #3 is graduating!  Don't get me wrong, I love the fact that she has almost completed her high school studies.  I don't like the fact that she has grown up!  It seems like only yesterday she was coming home from the hospital and a new born baby! Daughter #3's graduation cap, gown, and tassel came by Fed Ex today!  (why are they so fast?  did they HAVE to ship so quickly?  does childhood pass quickly because it is delivered by Fed Ex?  do they not know that this momma wants to hang on to her baby girl just a wee bit longer?) Here are some pictures of the happy occasion!  (she could not quit grinning all afternoon and evening!)   Practicing "being finished"! Graduation is set for the 17th of May!  It will be here in a heart beat!  I am so happy for her! This will be her moment to shine!  "Daughter, Daddy and I love you and are so proud of all that you have accomplished!"

Happy Birthday, Happy Spring

Today is the first day of spring, but by the weather here in Indiana you would think otherwise!  It is a very cold 31 degrees!  Burr!  I am thinking that the groundhog cannot guess the weather than most weather men! *smile* Today Son-in-love #1 turns twenty-seven!  I am trusting that his day has many blessings and filled with all the love a day can hold! HAPPY BIRTHDAY SON! WE LOVE YOU AND ARE GLAD GOD MADE YOU PART OF OUR FAMILY! XO

Life

Life.  Life is a beautiful gift from God.  I love my life.  I love the fact that I am a born again believer.  I love the fact that I have eternal life.  One day, when the life in this body is no more, my soul will live forever with the One who loves me best and most...God. God has given me the desires of my heart.  I love my life as a wife, mother, and mammi.  I have a wonderful husband who loves me in spite of my shortcomings.  I love the fact that I am at home keeping the home fires burning while Hubby works hard to provide for our family.  I love being a mother.  It is the hardest job on earth, but it has the best rewards!  I love being a mammi!  I get to see my children nurture their children and I get to spoil the grands and send them home!  I love the fact that my adult children want to come over and I have grands running around my home. So, why do I feel like I am spinning in circles?  Some days I feel like I get nothing accomplished.  Laundry is "caught-up" for th

Daughter #3

Today Daughter #3 turns eighteen!  I can hardly believe it! (of course, I know I say that with every birthday, but it doesn't seem possible!) D #3 was my first c - section baby and caused rest of my precious babes to born by c-section.  She also is the "last" of the "first half" of my children--aka "the big kids" .  She is child number 7, so it is now official that HALF of my children are adults or should I say adult age.  This also means in two months she will graduate from highschool and HALF of our children will be out of school.  Ah, but she is the FIRST to be completely home educated! (she always wanted to be a first!)   HAPPY 18th BIRTHDAY DAUGHTER! DADDY AND I LOVE YOU AND ARE VERY PROUD OF YOU! XO   "HAPPY BIRTHDAY SWEETIE!"
