Great-Granpa Meets Newest Great-Grandson

Saturday at Grandson P's surprise birthday, my father was able to greet his youngest great-grand, Grandson K! It was so sweet. He has so many grands and great-grands that he had a hard time remembering who was who!

Yesterday my daddy fell and broke is hip. He will be 84 in June. He is having a partial hip replacement today at 4:30 pm. I am trusting that he will be up and "around" without much difficulty in the near future.

"Odd" thing about his fall...yesterday during my devotions and prayer time I spent a little extra time praying for him. I felt concerned about him falling and breaking his hip. "Odd"?
Not really. I am certain that the Holy Spirit prompted me to pray knowing that Daddy would need the extra prayer.

Life....

Busy. That seems to describe life in our home. Just day to day busy. Nothing really noteworthy. Life moves on. Let me think, since I last posted.... well, let me back up to about a month before my last post. Daughter #6 got married in October of 2022...today Son #7 got married. So, I have gained another son and another daughter! Our youngest graduated from high school in May and our oldest grandchild graduated the following day! From our oldest child to our youngest, we have 33 years of education. (I'm tired just thinking about it!!) Still only 13 grandchildren. Hubby is still in education. I keep things going on the home front. I help out the families where and when needed. I still make cards for the card ministry that I have been doing for 19 years. I still crochet. That about sums up life at this point. Have a wonderful day!

The newest member to join the Chilson Family! Grandson K April 21, 2013 8 pounds 14 ounces 21 1/4 inches long Proud parents for the very first time are Son #3 and Daughter-in-love #3 EDIT NOTED: This page was edited on 12/31/13 with names and photo removed. It was brought to my attention by a DIL. Originally I had given names ONLY because full names are used on their Facebook page. Forgive me for being "stupid". Excited to have a new little one to love on and watch become a personality all his own!
