May Happenings!

It seems since school has been out I am behind on posting.  I have been busy creating transcripts and getting this school year totally closed out.  Our next school year is in place except for the text book order that needs to be placed.

So, let me do a few "catch ups"!

Grandson A graduated from Kindergarten on Friday, May 23!  We were so proud to watch the program put on by his class and watch him walk down the aisle to receive his diploma!  He is a spitting image of his daddy at that age!

Son #3's family announced they are expecting baby #2 in December!!!!  This is not the "announcing" picture, but the most recent celebrating Grandson K's first birthday!  Love the red hair!  I call him the future "Doctor Who"!

Yesterday, Daughter #1 and Son-in-love celebrated their 5th wedding anniversary!

Life is full.  Everyday is a different day, but I would not change my life for anything!  I am truly blessed!

  1. Ah, what a delightful family you have, Christy! You are abundantly blessed! I love seeing these sweet families and your grandson's happy smile! How awesome that you can pour into them with your deep resources in Jesus and the love that spills over! Keep up the work for the Lord and stand strong despite the trials and hurts that come our way. I was just reading in Mark last night and this morning about taking up our cross and laying down our lives:
Then he called the crowd to him along with his disciples and said: “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me. 35 For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me and for the gospel will save it. 36 What good is it for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul? 37 Or what can anyone give in exchange for their soul? ..." Mark 8: 34-37
Lifting you up right now to the throne room of grace...Hugs!

My Mother's Gentle Love

My Mother's Gentle Love by Ron Hamilton Who puts a band-aid on my knee? Who holds me close so tenderly? Who always sees the best in me? There’s no one like mother. Who always wipes my tears away? Who tells me I’ll be great some day? Who cares in such a gentle way? There’s no one like mother. My mother’s gentle love, my mother’s gentle love Has taught me of God’s tender care, and turned my eyes above. I’ll bless her all my days for all her gentle ways. Oh, how I thank my Lord above for my mother’s gentle love. Today is my mother's viewing, and tomorrow is her funeral.  The song above so much describes my mom.  She loved her four children so very much!  Before she had children, she was a nurse for "special care" babies~~"old" term for NICU.  Once she started having children she gave  up her career to stay at home and raise her own babies. Thanks, Mom! Thank you, Daddy, for allowing Mom to stay at home and raise us four children! My mother and her mo...

Life....

Busy.  That seems to describe life in our home.  Just day to day busy.  Nothing really noteworthy.  Life moves on.   Let me think, since I last posted.... well, let me back up to about a month before my last post.  Daughter #6 got married in October of 2022...today Son #7 got married.  So, I have gained another son and another daughter! Our youngest graduated from high school in May and our oldest grandchild graduated the following day!  From our oldest child to our youngest, we have 33 years of education. (I'm tired just thinking about it!!) Still only 13 grandchildren.  Hubby is still in education.  I keep things going on the home front.  I help out the families where and when needed.  I still make cards for the card ministry that I have been doing for 19 years.  I still crochet.   That about sums up life at this point.  Have a wonderful day!
