Card Creations

...sigh...I have been busy making cards off and on.  I am getting better at taking pictures, just slow at blogging them.  I am suppose to be cleaning house...going to meet our daughter-in-love-to-be's mom this afternoon/evening.  Me...I addressed a few cards to college students...okay...12 of them.  Okay, I was writing a note to them!  Then I decided I wanted to learn how to I watched a video on YouTube and tried for about 20 frustrated and gave up...only for the day!

Now, I decided that I may want to take a few minutes and post some cards.  So this will be quick...sort of...

I made this for one of our granddaughter's cousin.  I love
the chalk board look and shaker cards!

This was for my card ministry.

A sympathy card

Birthday card for Grandson E..he turned 5!

More sympathy cards...we have had 5 families in our church lose
a love one since January 1.

Part of a set for a friend...

...still part of a set...

...part of a set.

For a friend...

...another friend...

...and another... guessed it...for a friend...

Daughter #7 catching up on homework after being
out of school sick for 4 days...

Teaching Granddaughter J how to stamp and create something
fun for her parents for Valentine's Day.

Here is what she did...making a tablet that each page was hand stamped
for her parents.  She did really well.

I taught her how to glue "padding" compound to the top
of the notebooks.

Just having fun with watercolor, new SU product and retired paper!

More fun creating.  I really like the chalk board look!!!
Must be the teacher in me!

Oldest Son and youngest Son born in the same month,
2 weeks shy of 18 years apart!

Okay...I am a little addicted to the balloon and chalk
board design....

A thank you for a friend...we made one like this in club,
but was challenged to use color as my main card piece.

A gate-fold card  is so easy to make and just makes the
card seem so extra special!

Simple...Watercolor pencils on watercolor paper,
and blend....die cut and Big Shot...

...through the Big Shot and ready to create!!!!
Simple!  Love it!

All the cards were made using Stampin' Up product for the most part.  Some of the die cut words were from another company, MTF stamps.  Some of the ideas came from Pinterest, but tailored to my style to clean up the homestead...have an awesome day!

My Mother's Gentle Love

My Mother's Gentle Love
by Ron Hamilton
Who puts a band-aid on my knee?
Who holds me close so tenderly?
Who always sees the best in me?
There’s no one like mother.

Who always wipes my tears away?
Who tells me I’ll be great some day?
Who cares in such a gentle way?
There’s no one like mother.

My mother’s gentle love, my mother’s gentle love
Has taught me of God’s tender care, and turned my eyes above.
I’ll bless her all my days for all her gentle ways.
Oh, how I thank my Lord above for my mother’s gentle love.

Today is my mother's viewing, and tomorrow is her funeral.  The song above so much describes my mom.  She loved her four children so very much!  Before she had children, she was a nurse for "special care" babies~~"old" term for NICU.  Once she started having children she gave up her career to stay at home and raise her own babies. Thanks, Mom!

Thank you, Daddy, for allowing Mom to stay at home and raise us four children!

Graduation 2017 Post
