Thankful for God's Precious Word

"Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding."

"Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall:"
"But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint."

Yesterday afternoon I was burdened with more than I thought my heart could carry. Dear hubby reminded me that I needed to give my burden over to God and let Him carry it. So quietly I had to ask God to forgive me for trying to carry something that actually belonged to Him. This was brought "home" a second time during church last night. Our text was in Genesis where Abraham and Isaac were going to Mt. Moriah to sacrifice. Abraham's faith in God was so strong that he was willing to do exactly what God had asked. You can read the account of his faith in Genesis chapter twenty- two. It was brought to mind that when we are following God, He sometimes asks us to do things that some would think "you are out of your mind". But I know that no matter what He asks me to do, it will be for His honor and His glory. So, as hard as it is to wait, I know that my strength will be renewed. I will grow in faith as I wait on Him, knowing that "when He hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold." (Job 23:10b)

Life....

Busy. That seems to describe life in our home. Just day to day busy. Nothing really noteworthy. Life moves on. Let me think, since I last posted.... well, let me back up to about a month before my last post. Daughter #6 got married in October of 2022...today Son #7 got married. So, I have gained another son and another daughter! Our youngest graduated from high school in May and our oldest grandchild graduated the following day! From our oldest child to our youngest, we have 33 years of education. (I'm tired just thinking about it!!) Still only 13 grandchildren. Hubby is still in education. I keep things going on the home front. I help out the families where and when needed. I still make cards for the card ministry that I have been doing for 19 years. I still crochet. That about sums up life at this point. Have a wonderful day!

Grandson K April 21, 2013 8 pounds 14 ounces 21 1/4 inches long Proud parents for the very first time are Son #3 and Daughter-in-love #3 EDIT NOTED: This page was edited on 12/31/13 with names and photo removed. It was brought to my attention by a DIL. Originally I had given names ONLY because full names are used on their Facebook page. Forgive me for being "stupid". Excited to have a new little one to love on and watch become a personality all his own!
