I must be turning into a softy! Maybe it was the snow day I gave the scholars on Monday! Thursday night I went to be in tears. I was so tired all I wanted to do was cry. So I went to bed earlier than usual. By morning's light, and I'm not talking about the sun, I got thinking about what our real schedule was for Christmas break. I am one who does not like to lose a day in school, FOR NOTHING! Get it done, get it done right and quick! Come on, you would be thinking the same thing if YOU had nine scholars in eight different grades!
It is scheduled for the 20th of December and returning the 3rd of January.
The morning did not start out the greatest! I woke up about 6:30 with another headache. I ended up having to take two naps today! I know..."Poor baby!" But I had things I needed to get done, like stamping, laundry, stamping, dusting, stamping...
I decided to make hash browns for lunch with bacon, onion, and shredded cheese. Why is it every time I shred my potatoes, they end up looking gray and yuck? If I use frozen shredded potatoes they come out perfect! Any way, all but a spoonful of potatoes were gone, so I guess the tasted better than they looked!
Supper was much better in appearance! I fixed BBQ chicken in the oven, rice with onion, and peppers, spiced with curry powder, and corn. It was yummy!
Our oldest son bought our two grandsons over this evening for a bit! It has been a while since we have seen them. The youngest, who is 2 1/2, broke his leg the day before Thanksgiving. He is fairing very well. Our oldest, 5 1/2 , is a head or so, closer to the "so" part, than our youngest child, Daughter #7, who will be 6 on the 21st! They grow quickly! Maybe I will have Daughter #2 upload them to the blog in the next day or two.
Tomorrow is church, and will be a long day. We have our Christmas Cantata tomorrow evening. Two of our offspring have speaking parts in it, while one of them sings in the choir also. I also sing in the choir and with the Ladies Ensemble tomorrow. I pray I feel well, my head is feeling dizzy and the base of my skull is starting to ache. I hope I do not wake up with a headache tomorrow!
Okay! Call me a control freak! (I think of it as "keeping things in order"!) :-)

THAT'S A LONGTIME!
No, really it is okay! If I am at the point of tears when going to bed and the scholars are in tears when they wake up, WE NEED A BREAK!The morning did not start out the greatest!
