Okay, I have a few friends that ALWAYS get onto me for not taking pictures of my cards and posting them. I use Daughter #2 to do that for me, but sometimes I don't like to bother her, although for the record she is more than happy to do it for me. But...she will be leaving for college in September, so I need to become a big girl and do it myself. So I did! {with her camera}
These are the first two I made. They are for two of my grandsons, yes, I know...flowers on one of them? Hey, they're cute! And, here are the next three I made for my other two grandsons and yes, the one in the middle WITH flowers for my granddaughter! I was searching splitcoaststampers.com, and came across this adorable bunny. I used the tutorial http://randomonpurpose.typepad.com/r...y-bunnies.html. As you can see I changed it up to make it more "me". I added the scalloped oval punch to the ears, giving the ears three layers. I did not realize how "tall" the bunny ears were until I got them put together! So, I had to come up with a new plan to get Bunny on the card and use the invitation size envelopes I have on hand. In the end, it did not matter, because I sent each set in a bigger envelope so the cards all arrived on the same day! I have made at least three more cards since, and I am sticking to the "portrait" card lay-out. They are a bit time consuming, but so worth the effort! {I did notice postage was a bit more than I expected. The postal worker went to slip it through the "little" slot they use when measuring something bulky, and it did not go through...that might be because it has 3 or 4 pop-dots and the tied ribbon.} [the cards were made using Stampin' Up! punches, cardstock, designer paper, brads {except the heart shaped one}, and inks] |
