Too Cute!

Children are so precious!  In the mix of the morning getting school underway, our 5 1/2 year old daughter leaves her desk and comes to me in the kitchen.  She has taken her sweater off and tells me her "nostrils are cold".  Trying not to laugh, I pull her into my lap and rock her.  After loving on her a few moments, I plug her nose and tell her if she breathes out her mouth her "nostrils will not be cold any more"!  She breathes out her mouth and is off to her desk!  Now to tell the truth, her nose was not cold!  I think she was just looking for a little extra lovin' and a wee break from school!!  Kindergarten is very hard you know!  (She had to learn how to make a cursive "f" today.) 

Being a mother is the hardest job I have ever had!  Actually, it's the longest job I have ever  had!   After 25 years of mothering, you think I may have found an easier way of doing the job.  But there is nothing easy about raising children, nor are there any shortcuts!  I am thankful that I have a wonderful husband that helps, and a God who is forgiving when I make mistakes!  Even though I get very little time to myself or a date with hubby, it is the greatest job on earth!  I also think I have the greatest children on earth!  Now, if you have children of your own, you are off the hook if you think you children are the greatest!:-)  After all, we, the parents of these wonderful creatures, are the best cheerleaders they can have!  

God is so good!

Life....

Busy.  That seems to describe life in our home.  Just day to day busy.  Nothing really noteworthy.  Life moves on.   Let me think, since I last posted.... well, let me back up to about a month before my last post.  Daughter #6 got married in October of 2022...today Son #7 got married.  So, I have gained another son and another daughter! Our youngest graduated from high school in May and our oldest grandchild graduated the following day!  From our oldest child to our youngest, we have 33 years of education. (I'm tired just thinking about it!!) Still only 13 grandchildren.  Hubby is still in education.  I keep things going on the home front.  I help out the families where and when needed.  I still make cards for the card ministry that I have been doing for 19 years.  I still crochet.   That about sums up life at this point.  Have a wonderful day!

Newest Grandbaby

  The newest member to join the Chilson Family!   Grandson K  April 21, 2013 8 pounds 14 ounces 21 1/4 inches long Proud parents for the very first time are Son #3 and Daughter-in-love #3   EDIT NOTED: This page was edited on 12/31/13 with names and photo removed.  It was brought to my attention by a DIL. Originally I had given names ONLY because full names are used on their Facebook page. Forgive me for being "stupid".   Excited to have a new little one to love on and watch become a personality all his own!
